Privacy Policy

How Polr Labs handles information when you visit the site or use one of our browser-based tools.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Polr Labs website and the tools available through it. Polr Labs is the operator of this site. If you have a privacy question, you can contact us at [email protected].

Information used in our tools

Our QR code generator assembles and renders QR codes in your browser. Information you enter, such as website addresses, WiFi details, text, or contact information, is not sent to Polr Labs for processing or storage.

The background remover processes selected images in your browser. Polr Labs does not upload or keep a copy of the selected image or the generated result. Your browser holds the image and result temporarily while you use the tool, and releases that temporary data when it is reset or the page is closed.

Browser storage and model files

The background remover downloads the machine-learning model and runtime files required to perform processing on your device. Your browser may cache those files so later visits can start faster. Polr Labs also stores a small local browser value indicating that the model has been prepared before. This value does not contain your image, the generated result, or information entered into a tool.

You can remove locally stored data through your browser settings. Private browsing, storage restrictions, or clearing site data may cause the model files to be downloaded again.

Technical and hosting information

When you request a page or file, hosting, network, and security providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events. Polr Labs does not use this information to recover the values entered into the QR generator or the images processed by the background remover.

Google advertising and cookies

Polr Labs may use Google AdSense to display advertising. When Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve, measure, and personalise ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on a visitor's visits to this site or other sites.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services in Google's partner sites privacy notice. You can manage personalised Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. If other advertising vendors are used in the future, this policy will be updated with appropriate information and choices.

Consent choices

Where consent is required, Polr Labs will use an appropriate consent message before using advertising technologies that require that consent. Available choices may include personalised ads, non-personalised ads, or managing individual purposes and vendors. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

Links to other websites

The site may link to third-party websites and technical references. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, and Polr Labs is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the tools, service providers, or legal requirements change. Changes take effect when the revised policy is published on this page.
